Wat Kalayanamitr Varamahavihara is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand. The temple is located in Wat Kanlaya sub-district, on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya River.
Wat Kanlayanamit Woramahawihan This is the second grade royal temple of woramahawihan. Chao Phraya Nikorn Bodin (Toh Kanlayanamit) a son of Phra Phichai Wari (Man Sae Eung).
When he got the tittle of Phraya Ratsuphawadi, the director general of Phra Suratsawadi Klang department, he did not only donated his house included land but also bought additional land in the area nearby which formally called Kudi Chin village to build a temple in 1825 during the reign of King Rama 3, and presented it to be a royal temple, King Rama 3 graciously named the temple as Wat Kanlayanamit. The fine arts department registered the temple to be the national ancient monument in 1949
