Samut Sakhon Seafood Festival 2017

01 Mar 2017

Thailand’s seafood is justly famous and forms the basis of many of the kingdom’s best-known dishes. What would a spicy tom yam goong be without juicy shrimps, and who can imagine a Thai meal without its centerpiece of a fish steamed with lemons or fried with garlic.

One of the best known places in Thailand for seafood is the fishing port at Samut Sakhon, just a short trip from Bangkok. This well-known port celebrates its position as the seafood center of Thailand every year by arranging a popular festival.

This year, the Samut Sahon Seafood Festival is taking place from the 3 to 5 of March and as usual there will be amazing fresh seafood to buy and tasty dishes made my local vendors and local restaurants which will be preparing their most popular seafood dishes for people to try.

As well as the seafood, visitors can enjoy a range of musical performances, concerts, talks by chefs and local colour as well as fun and games for younger visitors.
