The inaugural Thailand Gems and Jewelry Fair is set to take place in Bangkok from 15-18 June, 2017.
Organised by the Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA), the event is expected to attract more than 600 exhibitors from over 30 gems and jewellery-exporting countries as well as Thailand’s own gem and jewellery manufacturers and exporters. Exhibitors will have a chance to meet and join the business networking with more than 30,000 visitors from 125 countries including China, Europe and the USA.
As well as from booths from exhibitors, there will be a special exhibition zone which will highlight Thailand as a shopping destination for precious gemstones. The “4 Districts of Gems and Jewellery” exhibition will showcase interesting areas in Bangkok which are well-known shopping destinations for different types of gemstones which include gems from Mahesak Road, gold from Yaowarat Road, silver from Charoen Krung Road, and jewellery streets from Khaosan Road, Silom and Surawongse Roads, and Baan Mor area.
The fair will also feature an “Innovation Pavilion” showcasing new industry trends and innovations. Seminars, workshops by experts, and business networking across the industry will also be organised to promote Thailand a world-class hub of gems and jewellery trading and shopping destination in this region.
